Electrician in Fort Pierce

Fort Pierce is the county seat of St. Lucie County, a short drive south of our Vero Beach office. We work on homes and commercial buildings across the city and nearby areas like Lakewood Park, White City, and St. Lucie Village.

Licensed and insured. License EC13011876.

Older buildings near downtown and the river

Fort Pierce has some of the oldest homes and storefronts on this stretch of the coast, in and around downtown, along Indian River Drive, and in the older neighborhoods close to the waterfront. Wiring and panels in those buildings weren’t designed for the loads people put on them now.

If you’re renovating an older house or commercial space, or you’re seeing flickering, warm outlets, or breakers that won’t stay on, it’s worth having an electrician take a look.

FPUA or FPL, your side of the meter

Inside the city, many homes and businesses get power from the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority. Outside the city limits it’s usually FPL. Either way, the utility handles the lines up to the meter. The panel, wiring, and everything past it is where we come in.

Hutchinson Island and the inlet

Condos and houses on South Hutchinson Island and around the Fort Pierce Inlet live with constant salt air. Outdoor fixtures, pool and dock equipment, and exterior panels corrode faster there than they do inland.

In a condo, who handles what usually depends on the association’s documents. We can work with you and the building manager to sort out what’s inside your unit and what belongs to the building.

Hurricanes and backup power

Hurricane season runs June through November, and the 2004 storms left much of St. Lucie County without power for days. Generators and home batteries are both backup power, including for hurricanes. We look at the panel before we tell you what will stay on.
