Yes, charging hardware is included in all of our quotes unless you specify that you have your own that you would like to use
Yes, we guarantee that the charger we provide will work with your car. For most projects we recommend a universal charger that will work with any car, so if you switch cars or your friend with an electric car visits you don’t need to change anything.
Your home’s electrical service is set up for what you currently have in your home: appliances, a water heater, maybe a pool, but the builder probably didn’t have electric cars in mind when they were establishing the home’s electrical service. In some cases a home’s electrical service can’t handle the addition of electric car charging in addition to all the other power requirements of the home, in these cases the service would need to be upgraded which impacts the price of getting electric car charging in your home. When we do a load calculation before generating a custom quote, it ensures you know all the costs upfront.
As you will quickly find out as an electric car owner, this will vary depending on how low your car’s battery is as well as what type of car you have.
For residential locations, we install level 2 chargers that will give the average car a full charge in about 8 hours.
Yes, there are two types: one that works with Teslas and another that works with every other electric car on the market. Our most commonly used pice of hardware has a combination adapter so that you are able to charge any car.
